When does the puzzle reset?
At midnight on your device's clock. If you play late at night and a friend in another time zone plays the next morning, you may be on different puzzle numbers for a few hours.
Does everyone get the same questions?
Yes. Everyone who plays puzzle number 12 gets the same five questions in the same order with the answers in the same positions. That is what makes comparing scores fair.
Can I play yesterday's puzzle?
Not as a daily game. Practice mode is the way to play more questions. It draws from the same bank, so you will meet questions from past and future days there too.
Where are my stats stored?
In your browser's local storage, on your device only. Twivial has no accounts and no server that receives your answers. If you clear site data or use a private window, the stats start over.
Why did my streak reset?
A streak counts consecutive days on which you finished the daily puzzle. Skipping a day, clearing browser data or playing on a different device or browser all break it.
Is the timer the same on every device?
Yes, 20 seconds per question. In practice mode you can switch the timer off.
What do the colored squares mean?
Green is a right answer, red is a wrong answer and white means the timer ran out. The emoji line above the squares shows each question's category.
Can I share without giving away answers?
That is what the grid is for. It shows your result and the categories, not the questions. If you post a review of the questions, consider waiting until the next day.
I think an answer is wrong. What should I do?
Email contact@twivial.com with the question text and, if you can, a source. We check every report and fix the bank when we got something wrong.
Can I suggest questions?
Yes, by email. We only add questions with answers that are settled and checkable, so we skip anything about records, rankings or facts that change from year to year.
Is Twivial connected to X or Twitter?
No. Twivial is an independent game that lets you post your result on X. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by X Corp.
Does Twivial cost anything?
No. There are no ads, no paid tiers and nothing to sign up for.
