About Twivial
Twivial is a daily trivia game. Five questions, twenty seconds each, the same set for everyone on the same day. It runs entirely in your browser and asks nothing of you: no account, no email, no cookies.
Who makes it
The game is built and maintained by the Twivial Team, a small independent group who like trivia nights more than they probably should. We write the questions ourselves, build the game ourselves, and answer the mail at contact@twivial.com.
How questions get into the bank
Each question goes through the same checks before it is added:
- The answer has to be a settled fact that you could confirm in a good encyclopedia or reference book.
- It can't depend on the year. We leave out "current" champions, populations, world records, prices and anyone's present job title, because those go stale and turn right answers into wrong ones.
- The three wrong answers have to be plausible but clearly wrong. If a wrong option could be argued as right, we rewrite it.
- The wording has to be short enough to read and answer in 20 seconds.
The bank currently holds more than 300 questions spread evenly over eight categories. When we find a mistake, or a reader reports one, we fix it.
The domain's history
The twivial.com name was used years ago for a different trivia project. Twivial was relaunched in 2026 under new, independent management and has no connection to earlier owners of the domain or to anything published here before.
